By Car

From Inverness it takes approximately 55 minutes to reach Leckmelm: take the A9 to Tore roundabout. Take the A835 towards Ullapool. Leckmelm is located 3 miles South of Ullapool.

Public Transport

We are not blessed with an extensive public transport network and would recommend that you prepare your journey well.  Traveline has a great journey planner and mobile app.

By Bus

There's a ferry bus twice daily from Inverness to Ullapool (once on a Sunday).  In addition there is a school bus service that picks up request stops from Leckmelm to Ullapool and to the other side of the Loch in the morning and afternoon during school term.

By Plane

Scheduled flights to Inverness  from Amsterdam, Belfast, Bristol, Dublin, Jersey, London, Manchester, Orkney, Shetland and the Western Isles.

By Train

The closest station to Leckmelm is at Garve (30 miles) which is on the main Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh line trains arrive here twice a day. The night sleeper to Inverness from London Euston is a good way to get from the centre of London, Crewe or Preston to arrive in Inverness by morning. 

By Bicycle

We are on the North Coast 500 which is a popular cycling route.  There are a number of fantastic cycle routes nearby for both recreational and transport uses. If you fancy the challenge of the Leckmelm to Ullapool mountain bike route via Strath Nihme and Glen Achall you are most welcome to store your bike at the farm shed.
