Veg Box SchemeAll veg are grown bio-dynamically in tune with the movements of the moon and stars. We are fully certified by the Biodynamic Agricultre Association as UK6 Organic. Veg boxes are produced on a Monday in the season. A typical £10 box will feed a family of four and contain a variety of produce available in season. Beetroot, salad leaves, spinach, tatties, courgette, peas, parsnip, cauliflour, carrot, broad beans, cucumber, sweetcorn, rhubarb, gooseberries, raspberries, swiss chard. None of the veg is bought in, it all comes from the farm. Last year we have suppied a local NHS funded Veg Box on Prescription Scheme which subsidises boxes to families with health problems. This year although the scheme is not running we are selling veg by an honesty shop Tuesday to Thursday. A two week event highlighting the vitality and quality of Demeter products is being planned this autumn. It will be launched at Borough Market in London on Saturday 6th October. As part of this and the local food network the farm will be open on Saturday 20th October to members of the public to buy food, explore and learn more about the farm. |
