Farm Cottage


The House

Built in 1880 the Farm Cottage provides spacious accommodation for six guests. It is located on Leckmelm Farm and you may find some visiting chickens and sheep from time to time in your garden. The cottage is great for entertaining whether you are a large family or three couples the dining room provides a great focal point for gatherings and mealtimes. The house is one of two, the other being occupied by the owner Lucy and her two children Duncan and Solais.
   
Sitting Room and Dining Room

The house is ideally situated offering views of Loch Broom especially from the dining room at sunset. The sitting room downstairs is very cosy in the evening where one can sit in front of an open fire which is often the best part of the day after hillwalking. There are assorted books, a television, games as well as comfortable sofas. There is also a Video Casette player and some tapes.

Bedrooms

The house has two double bedrooms and a third twin bedded room all of which are well furnished, the twin has a nice Loch view onto Loch Broom towards Ullapool.

Kitchen

The kitchen has all basic equipment, oven, fridge freezer with plenty of storage space, cutlery, pots, pans and crockery. The dining room has a large solid pine table and six chairs and is adjacent to the kitchen and sitting room.

Bathroom

There is a well-appointed bathroom with bath, Mira shower and WC. Hot water is supplied by oil fired central heating as well as by immersion for the summer months when central heating is not required.
   
The Garden

The Cottage is surrounded by a semi-enclosed garden and grass lawn and is suitable for children and pets. The cottage is only yards away from Lochside walks.

The front garden has a seasonal display of flowers, wild mint and hebes, it is enclosed by a small picket fence and gate.

The back garden has a grassed area delineated by a drystone wall, beyond are fields and Loch Broom.
