CommunityLeckmelm is not just a place for holidays it is also a living, working community that has been in existence long before Ullapool. Currently there are 8 families who live here totalling 12 adults and 6 children. Since 2007 the farm has been working in Partnership with the Highland Council to provide a practical learning centre for Rural Skills Pupils from Ullapool High School. Under the guidance of Colin MacDonald an Ullapool High School teacher the pupils have particpated in a variety of traditional rural skills, animal handling and estate maintenance. The Farm is looking forward to welcoming a new set of pupils in the 2008 Autumn Term |
